Pure Nacional dominated the fine chocolate markets in Europe and the Americas for 100 years. By 1919 the trees were devastated by disease and thought to be extinct. Until it was rediscovered couple years ago in a remote Marañón River Canyon in Peru.

INGREDIENTS: Cacao bean, coconut palm sugar*, cacao butter*. *organic.
Chocolate, minimum of 80% cacao content.

Excellent quality chocolate from Finland

Obviously the cocoa is not grown in Finland, but it is very nice to taste very good quality chocolate made by a Finnish company. I enjoy single origin chocolates like Pure Nacional, because I am intrigued by the different flavors they have even though they don't have any flavorings in them. I hope the company can expand their range of single origin dark chocolates in the future.
